Things To Do

Things to do while in town:

 

1.  In-line skating, bicycling, jogging on “The Strand,” a 26-mile paved sidewalk right along the beach.
2.  The Hermosa Beach Pier, Manhattan Pier, and Redondo Pier all offer spectacular sunset views over the Pacific Ocean.

3.  Surfing, visit Pier Surf Shop for Rentals or group and individual lessons (310.372.2012).

4.  Build a sand castle.

6.  Helicopter rides

9.  Trump National Golf Course is perched high above the jagged California cliffs taking advantage of one of the most incredible views in the world from every hole.

10.  Visit the “Big Mouse” at Disneyland.

11.  Tour Universal Studios while enjoying the theme park and shopping.  UniversalCity is located just north of downtown Los Angeles.

12.  Head to Long Beach and explore the infamous Queen Mary!  Night clubs, comedy clubs, shopping a hotel and many eating restauarant options will greet you. www.queenmary.com

13.  Thrill seekers will enjoy Knotts Berry Farm.  Modeled after an old western town in the days of the cowboys and early settlers, this theme park has rides for the childen as well as one of the oldest wooden roller coasters in California.http://www.knottsberryfarm.com/

15.  One of Todd and Andrea’s favorite California getaways is the town of Santa Barbara.  Lots to do, great views, kayaking and being close to vineyards makes for great memories.  Be sure to stop by the courthouse for a tour of the grounds and to see where Michael Jackson first faced the judge.  Call and Andrea and Todd for more info or visit www.santabarbara.com
16.  Shopping at the largest shopping mall in the SouthBay at the Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance.

19.  Tour Hollywood – Capital Records, Universal CityWalk, Mann’s Chinese Theaters and of course, the world famous Hollywood Boulevard and the Hollywood sign on Beachwood Canyon Drive.

20.  Drive the 5.6 miles of sprawling mansions in Beverly Hills or stroll down Rodeo Drive for fabulous shopping. All about 30 to 40 minutes away.

21.  Santa Monica, on the west side, offers 3rd Street Promenade,VeniceBeach, or ride the roller coaster on the Santa Monica Pier. 16 miles northwest of us.

22.  See the Los Angeles Lakers or LA Clippers (pro basketball) or the Los Angeles King (pro ice hockey) play at the StaplesCenter (213.742.7300).

23.  Professional baseball at the Dodger Stadium located at 1000 Elysian Park Avenue in Los Angeles (323.224.1400).

24.  Walk the boardwalk and pier at Venice Beach and see it all. (16.6 miles)
